The short version
CashPad the app collects no data. It has no server, no account system, and no telemetry. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Gumroad, the payment processor we use to sell CashPad, collects your email address and payment information to complete your purchase. We have no control over that data — it's governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy.

What the CashPad app collects
Nothing.
CashPad runs entirely in your browser. Your budget data — account balances, paychecks, bills, expenses, savings — is stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage. It never leaves your device. There is no server that receives it, no database that stores it, and no third party that processes it.
CashPad does not use:
- Analytics or tracking scripts
- Advertising networks
- Crash reporting services
- Error logging that transmits data off your device
- Cookies (beyond what your browser requires to run the app)
What Gumroad collects
When you purchase CashPad, the transaction is processed by Gumroad. Gumroad collects your email address, payment information, and IP address for fraud prevention. We receive your email address to deliver your purchase and send product update notifications. We do not sell or share your email address with any third party.

Email communication
If you purchase CashPad, you will receive your purchase receipt and access link via Gumroad, and occasional product update announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
We do not purchase email lists or contact people who have not opted in.
Your rights
If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we hold is your email address.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention
We retain your email address for as long as you are a customer, or until you request deletion. To request deletion, contact support@cashpadapp.com.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
